Research background
5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule rather than a peptide — an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme involved in nicotinamide metabolism and therefore linked to cellular NAD+ availability. Research examines NNMT inhibition in adipocyte and cellular-metabolism models, where the enzyme's expression in adipose tissue has made it a subject of metabolic interest. Being a small molecule rather than a peptide, it does not require reconstitution in the way lyophilised peptides do. Evidence is preclinical. Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research use only. Any context described above refers to published preclinical or in-vitro research — not to human or veterinary use.
