Research background
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid sequence corresponding to a partial sequence of a protein found in gastric juice. It is notably stable in aqueous solution, which is one reason it appears so often in preclinical literature. Published research examines BPC-157 largely in models of connective-tissue and gastrointestinal repair, with particular attention to angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — and to growth-factor signalling pathways. The body of work is overwhelmingly in-vitro and animal; controlled human data is limited, and results in preclinical models do not transfer to human outcomes. Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research use only. Any context described above refers to published preclinical or in-vitro research — not to human or veterinary use.
