Research background
Cagrilintide is a long-acting synthetic analogue of amylin, a hormone co-secreted with insulin by pancreatic beta cells. Amylin signalling is a distinct pathway from the incretin (GLP-1) system, which is why the two are frequently studied in combination. Research examines amylin- and calcitonin-receptor signalling in metabolic and satiety-signalling models. Cagrilintide is investigational and not approved by Health Canada or the FDA for any use. Evidence is preclinical or belongs to a clinical programme separate from this material. Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research use only. Any context described above refers to published preclinical or in-vitro research — not to human or veterinary use.
