Research background
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is not a peptide but a coenzyme present in every living cell, where it acts as an electron carrier in redox reactions and as a substrate for sirtuins and PARP enzymes. It is used extensively as a reference compound in cellular-energetics and ageing research, where declining NAD+ availability with age is a long-standing observation. Because it is a fundamental metabolic cofactor rather than a targeted agent, the literature is very broad and highly context-dependent — findings in one model rarely generalise. Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research use only. Any context described above refers to published preclinical or in-vitro research — not to human or veterinary use.
