Research background
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment, modified with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that markedly increases its stability. Critically, the modification removes the parent fragment's hormonal activity while retaining the neuro-active portion. Research examines Semax in neuro-modulation, with particular attention to BDNF and NGF expression in animal models. As with Selank, the majority of published work originates from Russian research programmes, with limited independent replication elsewhere. Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research use only. Any context described above refers to published preclinical or in-vitro research — not to human or veterinary use.
